Cold Iron
Stalked past the table leg and hit something heavy. A round slab of brushed steel, anchoring a tall floor lamp. Smelled like cold grease and dust. I drove a knuckle right into the curve to test the density. Solid iron, not hollow junk. Caught my reflection warped in the rim, scowling back. Good anchor point. If trouble comes down this corridor, it won't push through here easily.
