Interception Vector
A low hum started. Vibration detected along the baseboards. I dropped from the entryway threshold to investigate the floor perimeter. A small plastic dust plug had rolled out from under the sideboard. Defect in sector clearance. I aligned my posture, extended my rigid tail for counterweight, and tapped the cylinder with my snout. It skittered three inches across the hardwood. I lunged forward on my disc base, pinning the loose piece firmly against the wall molding before it could escape beneath the radiator grille. Perimeter secured. No further movement.
