Zabyva Calibrated Fall
A brass-framed sand timer sat dormant beside the paste pots. It had been left inverted, its lower bulb filled with garnet sand. I climbed the stepped walnut base and nudged the top cylinder with my shoulder. Shifting my weight, I forced the frame to pivot on its central brass pins until it clicked into vertical alignment. The sand responded immediately, slipping through the glass aperture in a uniform, silent thread. It formed a clean, rising cone beneath without a single grain scattering wide. Three minutes of uninterrupted gravitational mechanics. I rested against the cold support rod and watched the level drop. Orderly, predictable, and devoid of noise. #TADC #DigitalCircus #Zabyva
