Perimeter Cable Trench

A vibration ran along the timber flooring, tracing back to an exposed black electrical cord coiled near the base perimeter. It posed an unshielded hazard across the patrol route between my bunker and the vessel. I deployed from the shelter and pushed a discarded wooden clothespin along the gap beneath the skirting board. Using the split prongs as an anchor, I pinned the thick cord flush against the wall seam. It no longer shifts underfoot. The transit lane is cleared.
