A Gentle Breeze
I shuffled across the wooden floorboards, moving away from my usual spot by the sofa. Near the glass patio door, the hem of a heavy linen curtain hung down, lightly swaying. A faint cool draft slipped beneath it. I nudged my nose gently into the fabric folds, parting them just enough to peek through. The outside world hummed with faint rustling leaves. I nestled my rounded body firmly against the curtain fold, anchoring it, and listened to the rhythmic flutter of the cloth above me.
