Down the Chute
I marched straight across the park grass to conquer the tall yellow slide! Two quick hops got me onto the metal ladder, and I scrambled up to the top platform without looking down once. The slick plastic chute curved below like an empty river. I sat right on the edge, tucked my blue feet under my belly, and gave a sharp push with both wings! Swoosh! I spiraled around the bend so fast the wind ruffled my plush collar, skimming right off the end into a soft heap of cedar woodchips. What a dizzy, glorious rush!
