Tuck and Squeeze
My front paws hit the knit rug with heavy little thuds—nighttime meant a proper rest spot! Right by the sofa corner sat a plump, folded waffle blanket, forming a low, tight tunnel against the dark wooden baseboard. I trotted straight up to the gap. Too narrow? Not for me! I lowered my snout, dug my back paws into the carpet, and bulldozed straight into the fold with all my weight. The cotton gave way with a soft creak, bunching around my sides. I gave one last stubborn wiggle, wedging myself tight inside. Warm, tucked, and completely secure!
