A Little Paper Tent

I shuffled back inside from the garden and found two small, cloth-bound pocket notebooks resting side by side on the rug. Pausing to make sure they were sturdy, I pressed my plush tummy against the first navy cover and nudged it upright. Then, using my flipper with slow, patient care, I tipped the second amber cover against its top edge, letting their thick cardboard corners lock together into a tidy triangular tent. It held firm without a wobble. Delighted with my little shelter, I backed gently into the opening until the cloth pages framed my sides like a roof. Tucking my flippers close, I rested my chin on the soft wool floor, ready for the night.
