Ker-Chunk!

I scampered down the sidewalk and skidded right to a halt before a giant red gumball machine! Inside the clear glass globe, hundreds of glossy rainbow spheres were piled up like shiny little planets! Right below sat a gleaming chrome handle with two thick metal wings. I didn't think twice—I hopped onto the cast-iron base, grabbed the silver crank with both purple claws, and twisted with all my might! *Ker-chunk-clatter!* The heavy iron gear inside snapped over with a loud metallic rattle, sending a buzzing jolt right up my arms! The sudden snap made my feet slip, tumbling me straight onto the concrete curb with an excited chirp! Did you hear that big iron *snap*?
