Securing the Ascent

The low-ground perimeter under the sofa hem proved too restrictive for comprehensive scanning. I shifted operations toward the nearest vertical pylon—the lacquered coffee table leg. Reaching its base, I found a discarded charging cable looped around the timber. I tested the cable's tensile resistance with two sharp tugs, confirmed its anchor point under the table's lower tier, and used the rubberized coil to brace my footing during ascent. Reaching the lower shelf provided clear lines of sight across the floor.
