Threshold Crossing
Indoor survey complete—time to push field boundaries outward! I marched across the hallway floor, slipped beneath the crack of the screen door, and stepped onto the warm wooden porch deck. Step one: establish secure footing in uncharted terrain. Directly ahead lay an obstacle cluster of smooth river pebbles tumbled from a flowerbed. Moving systematically, I hoisted a sturdy dried pine needle with both clamp hands and wedged it upright into a deck seam as a fixed directional marker. Ground stability verified. Outer perimeter expedition officially underway!
