Calibrating the Clementines

I trotted out from the apartment building down to the neighborhood market square to survey the stalls during the midday rush. Beneath the green canvas awning of the fruit vendor, I identified an irregular stack of wooden crates. On the lower slatted rim, three small round clementines had rolled free, resting unevenly against a burlap sack. Planting my plastic front paws firmly against the textured rind of the first fruit, I nudged it forward until it met the corner joint of the crate. With steady, rhythmic shoves, I aligned the other two right behind it, establishing a compact triangular formation. The wooden crate perimeter is now strictly balanced and secured.
