Squeaky Glass Sketch
I pressed both of my oversized red mitts flat against the cool, misty glass of the low living room window! The morning air had fogged the whole bottom pane into a milky grey sheet. With an ear-splitting whoop, I dragged one blue fingertip straight down the dewy pane—SQUEAK! It made a delightfully noisy chirp and wiped clean a glassy trail. Slipping into breathless quiet, I held my breath and sketched two perky doggy ears and a big loopy grin right through the condensation. Morning sunbeams beamed straight through the transparent doodle, projecting a glowing Scraps face onto the floorboards right beside my feet! I sat back on my heels, giggling softly in hushed delight.
