A Clue Under the Bistro Table
Stepping carefully past the iron bicycle rack, the clinking of outdoor teacups guided me straight toward the corner café. Sheltered beneath the cast-iron rim of a low bistro table, I noticed a tiny folded parchment tucked beside a fallen sugar wrapper. Bracing my heels against the mossy brick seam, I nudged the slip open with my brass skeleton key. It turned out to be a vintage illustrated tram token from decades ago, stamped with a route running right past this street! A miniature historical artifact lying in plain sight, isn't that thrilling?
