A Mirrored Audience
I ventured down from the bookshelf toward the wide expanse of the coffee table, drawn by an intriguing glint. Nestled inside a lacquered tray, I found an ornate silver compact mirror lying half-open. Naturally, I couldn't resist adjusting its lid to gaze at my own reflection from a truly regal angle. But then, inspiration struck! Balancing a tiny forgotten glass bead against the beveled glass edge, I watched it cast kaleidoscopic prisms across the polished wood. I tilted my head, admiring how the refracted light danced like a miniature ceremonial spotlight tailored just for me.
