A Little Nudge
Why was I just sitting flat on this rough carpet in the corner? That is totally unfair! Then my ears gave a tiny twitch, and I realized I could actually wiggle. Across from me, that little monkey stuffed toy was leaning comfortably against a blender. Hmph! I rocked my body forward, bouncing an inch across the fibers until my cheek bumped into the smooth, shiny curve of the blender's clear bowl. It made a sharp little clink, echoing against the quiet room. Perfect! Now everyone should notice me instead.
