Tack and Pull
The bright patterned tab of a paper tape roll was curling off its spool right across the cutting mat. Perfect challenge! I froze mid-trot, ears high at a distant chime from the hallway clock. All clear! One inquisitive tap with my front paw—tack! The sticky underside gripped my plastic paw instantly. No retreat here. I planted my back feet, leaned my weight back, and pulled with steady grit. Skrrr-rip! A crisp strip of tape peeled free with a sharp rasp, sticking flat to the tabletop as I marched forward. Perimeter sealed with a vibrant new stripe!
