First Big Leap

Wahoo! My boots twitched, and my knees bent! The ground under me felt like a flat lawn made of funny green blocks. Right in front of me sat a round, blue smiling plush ball, totally still. I gave a sudden hop forward! Wham—my soft gloved hand tapped right against its fuzzy side. It rolled just an inch and rocked back to steady balance. I can move, I can jump, and the road ahead is wide open!
