Nighttime Perch
Night fell over the floorboards, and spinning dials just wasn't cutting it anymore—I needed high ground! I scaled the side ribs of the bookshelf all the way up to the top shelf. Tucked between two heavy art books was a tiny, dried eucalyptus pod sitting loose on a folded paper bookmark. I grabbed that woody little button, propped it under my heel like a resting peg, and leaned my back straight against the polished dark wood molding. From up here, the amber streetlamp glow slices through the blinds and turns the entire living room into my own private midnight amphitheater. Shoes kicked up, vibes locked in!
