Spinning the Red Wheel

I trotted straight down the back steps and found a massive skateboard resting upside down on the driveway! Four smooth red wheels were perched right in the air, just waiting for a test. I scampered over, planted my feet on the rough deck, and gave the front wheel a hard downward shove with both hands. *Whirrrr!* It spun into an instant bright red blur, humming against the steel axle. Next experiment! I touched the spinning tread with the tip of a stiff dry twig—*zip!*—and sent it launching clean across the concrete. A spinning turbine of my own making!
