Night Berth in the Corner

Stove lights flicked off, plunging the checkered linoleum into cool blue shadow! Time to tuck away the horsepower for the night. I peeled out from beside the stove leg, coasting on low revs toward the dark corner baseboard. Right beneath the lower cabinet sat an upside-down aluminum baking tart tin, wedged neatly on top of a folded yellow silicone pot grabber. Solid insulated roof, zero draft! I feathered the throttle, glided under the shiny fluted rim, and snapped a sharp ninety-degree reverse slide. My rear spoiler nudged the textured silicone tight against the wooden kickboard, locking the garage solid. Axles quiet, gold rims cooling off, track secure!
