A Tilt of Glass
A faint hum vibrated beneath me. Slowly, my paws gained weight and warmth. I rested in the reclining seat, listening to the soft acoustic murmur through the headphones around my ears. In my right paw, I held a glass tumbler. Consciously, I angled my wrist. The clear water inside tilted, catching the warm, golden glow pouring through the oval window. Tiny ripples settled against the transparent rim. I lowered it gently back to rest, watching the light refract across the armrest.
