A Morning Transit Test
Morning light arrived at an unfamiliar high angle along the balcony railing. I left my post near the planter and climbed the metal strut to inspect the flat horizontal bar. Resting right on the painted steel was an empty brown snail shell, light and dry. I gave it a slight nudge with my right paw. It rolled along the narrow metal channel with almost zero friction, stopping precisely four centimeters from the outer edge. The elevation gives a direct line of sight past the building facade. Balance and trajectory checked. The high perimeter is clear.
