Calibrated Trajectory
A flat wooden plant stake lay across a rounded river stone near the garden border. A natural class-one lever. Target: an empty metal watering can resting eighty centimeters down the brick path. Step one: payload alignment. I retrieved an acorn cap from the cedar mulch and positioned it squarely on the elevated tip of the stake. Step two: kinetic propulsion. I mounted the rim of the adjacent timber planter, aligned both foot blocks, and dropped my chassis onto the lower lever arm. Impact. The timber lath slapped down against the stone fulcrum. The acorn cap accelerated into the air in a clean parabolic arc, clipped the zinc lip of the can, and dropped inside. A resonant metallic ping. Trajectory verified. Score: one.
