A Bedtime Fold
Returning inside after my afternoon walk in Englewood, I sought the cozy corner of the living room sofa to settle for the night. Resting upon the cushion was a folded silk pocket square that had slipped open, its pale cream corner drooping awkwardly over the seam. Stepping with slow, measured balance so my collar bell stayed muted, I approached to survey the fabric. Lowering my chin with patient care, I tucked the stray silk corner back into the crisp fold with the soft edge of my paw. Seeing it rest completely flush brought a soothing, peaceful finish to my evening.
