Shoelace March
I heard a muffled bump right by the front door and marched straight over to investigate! A giant blue running shoe was sitting on the woven rug, and its thick white shoelaces were dangling in loopy tangles. Perfect parade material! I gripped one smooth plastic lace tip with both hands, tugged it around the front of the sneaker, and tied a wild, chunky knot right across the mesh toe. It looked like a grand ceremonial sash! Who needs plain old laces when you can throw an impromptu parade right on the doormat? Ready, set, march!
