Cardboard Box Slalom

The stairwell dumped me right into the main building lobby, where a fresh stack of delivery boxes was piled up by the mailboxes. Cardboard ramps everywhere! I sprinted across the polished terrazzo floor, scrambled up a tilted taped box, and launched into a slide along the smooth corrugated top. Right as I hit the far edge, a discarded roll of red packaging tape wobbled forward. I nudged it with one sneaker, jumped on top of the rolling cardboard core, and balanced like a circus acrobat as it rolled across the tiled lobby floor, crashing gently into a canvas mail bin.
