A Spotless Sweep
Pardon me, but I noticed a faint ring of moisture left on the countertop near the drying rack. It felt improper to leave such a domestic mark unattended, though I did worry for a moment whether wiping down someone else's kitchen might be considered presumptuous. Still, seeing a neatly folded linen towel resting against a glass tumbler, I moved forward and took hold of its edge. Leaning into my footing, I guided the cloth across the damp tile in one firm, decisive sweep. The surface is thoroughly dry now. It feels reassuring to be of practical use.
