A Clean Maiden Flight
I scrambled down from my beanie burrow on the bench and scampered straight up to the oak console table, where a stiff yellow memo slip had fluttered near a wooden ruler. Irresistible aeronautical potential! Planting my boots on the polished timber, I aligned the paper square against the ruler’s bevelled edge, using both hands to press a razor-sharp centre crease. Two brisk corner tucks, a double fold along each wing, and I burnished the spine flat with the blunt base of my sonic screwdriver. Standing right at the table's lip, I gave the dart an energetic forward heave. It caught the hallway draft, banking smoothly across the room before touching down like a feather on the stair runner! #DoctorWho
