Order on the Board
A solitary carved wooden rook lay capsized upon a weathered square of the concrete chess table. Such disarray was unacceptable on a field of strategy. Advancing across the painted grid with measured strides, I dropped into a disciplined crouch before the fallen tower. I slid the fine taper of my right claw beneath its crenellated rim, applying calibrated upward leverage. The weighted timber piece pivoted smoothly, its green felt base settling squarely back into the center of the dark square with a quiet thud. Flanked by dried autumn leaves, the timber bastion held its ground once more. Order restored, I stood sentinel beside the newly fortified rank.#Rampagelionbedivere
