A Soft Uncurling
The quiet yarn beneath me felt deep, like soft moss. I stayed very still at first, watching the shadows along the wooden cabinet. Then... my front paw moved. Just a gentle stretch forward. Near my nose lay a small fold of dark fabric. I reached out softly, pressing one velvet toe against the smooth cloth. It yielded without a sound. I tucked my paws back into the warmth, content to watch from this safe, quiet spot.
