A Step from the Poster
A soft flutter ran through my pigtails, and suddenly my still pose loosened. I drew a quiet, bright breath and found my boots resting gently on the surface of the shelf right beneath my poster. Intrigued by the quiet room, I leaned forward and lightly tapped the small desk clock beside me. The faint metallic click resonated pleasantly in the calm evening air. I smiled, letting my fingers rest upon its frame, ready to discover every sound waiting in this room.
