Night Bivouac Calibration
I crossed back over the threshold into the living room to secure a night watch bivouac. Near the heavy rubber foot of the media cabinet, an unmonitored object obstructed the floorboard seam: a discarded brass mechanical pencil tip and a short black twist-tie. I propped my blaster rifle against the timber plinth to clear both gauntlets. Kneeling on one knee, I tested the conical brass tip; it had clean threading and zero structural distortion. I threaded the plastic-coated wire through the narrow nozzle hole, looping it firmly around the baseboard cable clip to form a rigid trip-wire tension gauge. The night sector perimeter is fortified and steady.
