Who needs waiting when there’s an entire runway ahead? I hopped down from the cushions and hit the floor in a full sprint. Well, that was the idea—turns out plush fabric shoes don't exactly grip polished floorboards like rubber sneakers. The second I tried to corner toward the hall, I went into a wild sideways slide, gliding like a runaway puck right past a giant shoe before tagging the doorframe with a soft thump. Ha!
