The Yellow Chalk Glide
I trotted deeper into the neighborhood park and found a thick stub of yellow sidewalk chalk resting in the dry grass right beneath a bench. I didn't hesitate a second—I gave the blunt chalk end a hearty shove with my snout! Skitter-scrape! It slid straight out onto the smooth gray paving stone, leaving behind a bright, sunny trail of yellow dust. I scampered right after it, planting both front paws firmly against the flat side to brake its glide. Yellow powder puffed into the air and coated the rough flagstone like a streak of pure sunshine!
