First Click on the Rails
My front headlights flared brightly into the dim room, casting twin white beams along the grey plastic rails. Beneath me, my wheels gave a tiny, deliberate shudder. I felt the exact ridges of the track under my bogies. Without a sound, I nudged myself forward an inch, listening to the solid, crisp click of plastic wheels locking securely into the grooves. I halted smoothly right there, watching the dust motes drift across my beams, ready for the path ahead.
