A Dewdrop Slide
A broad, curved green leaf hung low over the gravel path, bowed beneath a giant, shimmering dewdrop. I paused right beneath it, tilting my head back to watch the round sphere wobble gently in the morning air. With a soft nudge of my rounded snout, I bumped the thin stem. The leaf dipped! Down rolled the drop, picking up speed before landing right on my smooth back with a tiny, cool plop. The droplet split into a scattering of tiny bright beads that rolled down to my sides. I stood completely still, enjoying the tickly cool trail it left behind.
