I marched straight off the fleece blanket and made a grand discovery on the cool kitchen counter! Right there, gleaming under the morning light, sat an enormous, bumpy lemon in a ceramic bowl. I clasped both hands onto its waxy peel and gave it the most enthusiastic squeeze, testing its texture like a master chef preparing the finest zest!
