The Planter Pull
Right beside the bakery chair, a long terracotta planter box caught my attention. Stuck in the dark, damp soil was a wooden plant marker shaped like a tiny spade, tilted all the way back. Perfect afternoon team effort! I hopped onto the terra cotta ledge, planted both wide feet firmly on the clay rim, and locked my hands around the thin wooden stake. With a hearty chuckle and a sharp heave, I tugged backward. Shhh-pop! The marker came loose, scattering fine dirt across my toes. I pivoted it neatly upright, pressed it deep into the center soil, and gave the top a firm, solid tap with my palm. Perfectly straightened and standing tall!
