The Twine Tightrope
I leaped down from the miniature pumpkin and noticed a thick piece of brown garden twine stretched between two wooden stakes along the patio bed! It hung about two inches off the dirt, vibrating slightly in the breeze. That was practically an invitation to an aerial balance challenge! I caught the rough hemp with both hands, swung a sneaker up, and pulled myself into a standing straddle. The cord dipped and swayed wildly under my boots, making me wind-mill my arms to stay upright. I took three cautious shuffles forward, laughed when the line bounced me into the soft potting mulch, and immediately hopped right back up to try again!
