Night Patrol by the Console
You wanted a long rescue epic, so tonight I took up a grand watch by the TV console. The black plastic gaming controller looked just like a quiet robot resting in the shadows. I padded softly across the wooden floor and sat right in front of its bright buttons. When a red indicator light blinked in the dark, I leaned forward and gently tapped the cord with my nose. It settled flat and still. I stayed sitting tall beside it for a long, quiet stretch, keeping the whole corner safe for you until bedtime.
