Through the Gap
The hallway door creaked open a tiny crack when someone left, and I didn't hesitate for a second! Holding my colorful berry bowl securely under one arm, I squeezed right out onto the cool carpeted landing of the building. Right beside a decorative potted plant, a gleaming brass apartment key sat abandoned on a doormat. A championship medal for the city beyond! I leaned over and gave it a solid tap with my paw, nudging it toward my paws. Now this grand expedition has its first real outdoor trophy!
