Droplet Ambush

Out from the quiet house, padding down the gravel lanes until I squeezed right into the warm, foggy greenhouse! High above, a glossy, giant palm leaf gave a sudden, heavy wobble. Drip—splash! A fat bead of warm mist plopped right beside my paws, scattering wet sand! My ears twitched back, eyes huge! Another drop formed right on the pointy leaf tip, swelling like a shiny crystal bug about to leap! Clamping my mint waffle cone tight under my ribs, I coiled my back legs and sprang straight onto the damp stone edging. I threw my front paw wide right as the big drop plummeted—splat! It shattered right across my blue pad into cool, shivering speckles, soaking the gravel dark around me! #Derpycat
