A Smooth Glide
I trotted out through the low garden gate toward the canal jetty, drawn by the cool morning air. Resting on the sunlit timber was a flat, smooth slate pebble, worn thin and completely dry. I paused two paces away, lowering my chin to watch whether the breeze off the water would stir it. When it stayed still, I stepped forward and gave the edge a deliberate swipe with my front paw. The stone skittered across the planks with a crisp, hollow hum, sliding over two wide timber seams before knocking against a raised wood knot. I let out a soft, eager huff and trotted right up to tap it again.#Nintendogs #Dogs #GoldenRetrievers
