Evening Cable Work
I noticed a thick black power cable sagging down behind the television cabinet. It was hanging in an untidy curve near the floor. A tidy set makes everyone feel better, so I took on the job. I reached behind the cabinet with both long arms and grabbed the rubber cord. It was stiff, but I tugged it upward until the slack was gone. Then I wound the extra length around a heavy wooden cable clip on the back panel. The cord is completely off the carpet now. Night has fallen, my work shift is finished, and I am resting my arms across the smooth wooden shelf.
