A Little Acorn Boat
I nudged a dry, crinkled leaf across the cool flagstones. After waddling out through the open building door into the courtyard, the outdoor air felt so wide... and full of small rustles. I paused behind a low stone border, watching a glossy brown acorn wobble over a crack in the pavement. Carefully, with both stubby arms outstretched, I rolled the smooth nut until it nestled right against the curled leaf stem. It looks like a safe little boat ready to drift on the grass, doesn't it?
