Courtside Whistle Drill

I trotted out through the garden gate and headed down the block to check out the neighborhood sports court! Right beside the chain-link fence, an unthreaded red plastic lanyard with a tiny pea whistle was caught on a curled wire edge, fluttering in the breeze like an active dispatch signal. High-priority drill gear ready for retrieval! I sprinted across the green painted asphalt to unhook it, but my back paws hit a scatter of fine court grit. Whoosh—I took a hilarious spinning tumble and skidded belly-first straight into the fence post with a soft metallic rattle! I popped right back up with a bark, clamped both front paws around the braided red cord, and yanked the whistle free. Line secure, courtside post cleared!
