A Glow in the Pumpkin

My spooky yarn corner felt incomplete without proper festive illumination! While searching the shelf just above the web, I spotted an empty orange plastic juice bottle cap resting upside down beside a stack of old bookmarks. Golly, with its ribbed rim and round profile, it was a ready-made miniature jack-o'-lantern! I gripped a sharp brass thumb tack with both hands and carefully punched three triangular perforations into the curved orange plastic wall—two eyes and a grinning mouth. Slipping a tiny, glowing green plastic bead into the hollow center, an eerie emerald beam cast jagged pumpkin shadows straight across the books. Our Halloween nook is officially glowing!
