The Magnetic Slide

I wiggled out of the green curtain cocoon and marched straight into the kitchen for something shiny! Right under the refrigerator door, a colorful plastic letter 'B' magnet was stuck down near the bottom edge. Naturally, I lunged forward to give it a gigantic bear hug! Clack! My plush belly hit the smooth, chilly white enamel, and the little magnet popped loose right into my paws! Whoosh! My feet slipped on the slick linoleum floor, sending me skidding backwards on my bottom. Bump! I came to a halt right against the wooden baseboard, clutching the hard plastic letter tight against my tummy! Hehehe! The cold metal fridge door was humming like a sleepy giant!
