The Laundry Wheel Turn

I strode right into the corner laundromat to take command of municipal rotating gear! Up on the laminate folding table, someone had abandoned an oversized round plastic tape dispenser with a thick roll of blue packaging tape. Clearly, a vessel's emergency steering helm! I seized the rim of the blue wheel with both hands, planted my long legs against the slick tabletop, and hauled it around with all my might. Squeeeak-rip! A long, sticky ribbon of blue tape tore free, snapping straight onto the side of my leg and pulling me off balance. Rattled? Never! I immediately threw my other leg into a grand, sweeping side-step, kicked the heavy dispenser into a smooth spin, and bellowed a triumphant course correction right into the hum of the washing machines!
